33. My 2015: A Breakthrough

What a crazy year was 2015. In the beginning I was still dreaming about my new life, in the end, I am living my dream.

It was not an easy year, no. It was one of the hardest in my life. And still it is. The challenges were great, the rewards even greater. Here is how I have seen year of 2015.

On January  I left for Copenhagen where I spent amazing 2.5 months working with great people and discovering Denmark.

Denmark is a kingdom, so it has palaces.

It is surrounded by water and connected to Sweden by beautiful bridge that crosses Danish Straits

While staying in Copenhagen I have visited Goteborg in Sweden in order to pass an IELTS test.

Goteborg is a maritime city

It is a hometown for Volvo and they have an amazing museum

Denmark is a place that Vikings called home. I have visited Viking museum in Roskilde and discovered more about their culture and life

Copenhagen has an amazing zoo where I have seen polar bears swimming above me

After returning home I have had really good spring with my family and my dog

July brought the day when my lifetime dream came true. I was dreaming about it for 10 years. I moved to Canada.

I started exploring my new home. Montreal is amazing city.

Montreal has one of the best racing circuits in the world

There was an amazing fireworks festival in Montreal in July

When I had a chance I started exploring Canada. I started with a town of Mont-Tremblant.

There is also a national park with same name

Quebec hosts one of the biggest hot-air balloon festivals

I have visited Ottawa twice

Quebec City 3 times

Just outside of Quebec City there is one of the most scenic waterfalls in North America – the Montmorency Falls

A few hours south of Montreal is world-famous 1000 islands area

In September I have made my biggest road trip so far – to a village of Tadoussac in northern Quebec. This place is famous for whale-watching

Also there are some of the most spectacular sunsets in the world

In October I had a business trip to Seattle. A birthplace of grunge music and gateway to North Pacific. It was the first time I have been to the USA.

I have seen the Pacific ocean for the first time.

In November I made an amazing trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls

And finally in December, I have finished a year of traveling and discovering by visiting the USA – state of New Jersey, Princeton University, New York City and Philadelphia.

It has been an amazing year for me. Full of surprises, challenges and discoveries.

  1. We just had first snowfall of the winter. It starts to get real. Last week we have seen temperatures in mid +10s.
